Eyelid Surgery – Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is an operation used to correct wrinkles, sagging and bags formed on the eyelids. In the operation of upper eyelid incision is made on eyelid flap and the excess skin and fatty tissue are removed. Fatty tissue and excess skin on the bottom of lower eyelids are removed with incisions made on lower part and inside of eyelashes. Eyelid surgery for the removal of wrinkles around the eyes is generally is combined with botox.

It lasts 1-3 hours.Side effects and risks:
Temporary cyanosis, swelling may occur. During first one week watery eyes and sensitivity to light may occur.
A patient can turn back to work after 5-7 days. Reading will be possible after 2- 3 days. Use of alcohol and contact lenses will be possible after 2 weeks. Swelling and cyanosis will disappear after 1-2 weeks.
Procedure and anesthesia
The operation is performed under local and general anesthesia with sedation.
The result is long lasting.
