Breast Lift

Breast Lift is an operation applied to breasts sagged genetically or after breastfeeding, when the nipples and their coloured area are displaced downwardly. If breast tissue is sagging too much excess skin is removed with a round incision starting from the nipple continuing to the down part of the breast; then the breast tissue is hung up with insoluble sutures. In this way nipple and areola are moved up. While doing Breast Lift if the breast tissue is very less, from the same cut breast implants can be placed.

Procedure:
The operation lasts 1-3 hours.

Side effects and risks:
Temporary cyanosis, swelling, numbness may occur. Some complications are differences in sensitivity of nipples, delay in wound healing.

Recovery Period:
Patients may turn back to their normal activities in the period of 1 week. Overactivities are allowed after 1 month. Totally healing of the scars will be in the period of 3-4 months.

Procedure and anesthesia
The operation is performed under local or general anesthesia with sedation in hospital.

Result
The result is long lasting. Differences in weight, aging, may affect the result.
